Hi!
This problem happens actually sometimes when the archive is bigger enough (> 2Gb). Splitting works OK, but when trying to uncompress using Winzip 9, ZipGenius or even an app made with VCLZip, the archive is corrupted. Sometimes nothing is extracted, other times the program keeps asking after other part eternally even is a the right part is passed.
I find the Zip64 archives created by VCLZip very unreliable specially when splitting it.
1 . Is there some patch to this? 2. Is there some whay to prevent the archive to use Zip64?
3. Some other times when zipping large archives, if the disc get out of free space, we get a Tstream exception. Should be more elegant to detect this problem and rise some EOutOfSpace exception or something.
4. Sometimes a Test of a large archive detects no errors but when trying to extract the archive may be corrupted. I am not sure about this . Has happened a3 times but I am not sure.
Thank you

Just wondering, are you using version 3.05?
Thanks,
Kevin

3.05 here.
The problems are somehow hard to reproduce, and as long as I can see only occur with large zip64 archives.

Can you tell me anymore about how you are creating your archives?
Thanks,
Kevin
