Hello,
can anyone tell me the advantage of an zip-streaming over the normal way of file zipping?
With streaming is it possible to save file which are blocked by Windows? Or is it only for lists which will be generated temporarily and then saved to zip without generating a separate file on harddisc?

Stream zipping is typically done for speed, since memory is faster than disk, and usually (but not always) in instances where the compressed data is not going to be saved to disk, for instance if you are compressing data to be sent over the network.
Others may know of additional advantages.
