The latest version is 3.06 from August 2005. If I buy the current version, can I then upgrade to a new version if released? What is the upgrade policy?

Plans are not for sure yet, but, probably what will happen is that there will be a new version of VCLZip Pro that will, for the most part include bug fixes, etc. and it will be a free upgrade.
There will also be a VCLZip Pro/Encryption version with strong encryption. This will cost more, but you will be able to upgrade from Pro to Pro/Encryption for just the difference in price. However, unlike with the Lite to Pro upgrade this won't be available forever, it will only be available for a set amount of time, like 2 or 3 months.
I don't know what the VCLZip Pro/Encryption version will cost yet.

Kevin, do you have any release date for the new versions (VCLPro upgrade and VCLPro Secure)?

No release dates yet. But for the maintenance release I am going to try to put that out by this Sunday night.
I am looking into one possible minor problem with the encryption version. Not sure if it is a problem or not but I don't want to release until I am sure.

Kevin,
We are currently needing to use AES 256bit encryption in our software. Is there any ETA on this release?

I hope the new version will be ready soon, because I really need strong encryption...

This will be released right about the end of the year. If we can make it happen earlier, we will.
